Harry Leib

Harry Leib received the B.Sc. (cum laude) and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa , Israel in 1977 and 1984 respectively. In 1987 he received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada.

Since September 1989 he has been with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at McGill University in Montreal where he is a Full Professor. Professor Leib teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Communications, and directs the research of graduate students.

His current research activities are in the areas of Digital Communications, Wireless Communication Systems, Detection and Estimation, and Information Theory.

Dr. Leib has been an Editor for Communication and Information Theory for the IEEE Transactions on Communications, an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, and a guest co-editor for a special issue of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communication on Differential and Noncoherent Wireless Communication.
