Ronald Beaubrun

Ronald Beaubrun (M’02) received the B.Eng., M.Sc.A., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, Montreal, Qc, Canada, in 1994, 1996 and 2002 respectively.

From 1994 to 1999, he worked as a research assistant at the LICEF Research Centre, Montreal, and Ericsson Canada, where he contributed to many projects related to multimedia telecommunications systems, virtual campus, virtual laboratories and reliability of 3G wireless networks.

He is currently an Associate Professor at Université Laval, Quebec, Qc, where he teaches computer networks and mobile communications in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering.

His research interests include topics related to the next-generation wireless networks planning, such as radio coverage, architecture, global roaming, resource management, traffic modeling, as well as value-added services and applications.
