Rhys Adams

Rhys Adams obtained his B.Eng. and M.Eng. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from McGill University. He is a Physics Professor and Honours Science Coordinator at CEGEP Vanier College in Montreal.

He is involved in developing active learning techniques (using technology in the classroom, peer instruction, etc.) and studying its impact on student success, understanding and motivation. His current photonics research interests include optical signal processing and silicon photonics.

Rhys recently obtained a FRQNT grant (Recherche pour les enseignants de college) that allows him to collaborate with the McGill University Photonics Systems Group, and to provide laboratory visits and paid research internships for his college students.
